Job Description Corrections and Remediations Analytics
The Corrections and Remediations Team manages the process to triage, fix, correct, and eliminate customer impact caused by a business process or operational issues. Playing a critical role within Corrections and Remediations, the Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a controlled environment in support of the various correction's towers in respect to controls, access, strategic projects. This Center of Excellence supports Auto Finance, Business Banking, Consumer Banking, Credit Card, Merchant Services, and Wealth Management. Analysts benefit from unique exposure to various products and teams within the firm.
Support Analyst Key Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a first point of contact for troubleshooting application/database related issues and come up with short term and long-term resolutions
  • Data analytics team user access administration support and drive/lead access strategy by working with centralized team, AMG and application owners
  • Assist the team through the analytical environment changes by understanding the changes of the applications/systems/data center migrations and adopt new consistent approach, such as SAS migration, share drive migration, AMG tool changes and data center migrations (ICDW, Info One)
  • Monitor the healthiness of analytical environment DA team uses including UNIX, Teradata environment, create shell scripting to monitor the analytical environment space usage, manage record retention efforts
  • Constantly investigate ways to eliminate redundant and labor-intensive processes and/or create automation
  • Work with Internal Corrections users to configure, control and implement connectivity of their SAS Desktop tools and products to UNIX distributed systems.
  • Assist Internal Corrections users with configuration of SAS access/user profiles on UNIX environment
  • Configure and troubleshoot data source connectivity to Teradata, Oracle and Hadoop databases from UNIX distributed environment using SAS Access Interface.
  • Maintain knowledge base of known defects and issues, processes and support techniques
  • Multi-task and prioritize work effort by adapting to a fast-paced and frequently changing environment and by taking ownership of issues.


Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field of study/equivalent experience
  • Experience in Various Applications/Unix/SAS environment
  • Database's experience/knowledge (Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop)
  • Unix experience required for 3-5 years
    • Experience with developing UNIX Shell Scripting - KSH, BASH and VI editor (UNIX)
    • Experience with UNIX core peripheral services such as SFTP, Unix-LDAP, SSH, Keon/Boks
  • Experience with Control-M scheduler
  • SDLC experience with exposure to the following: SAS/SAS VIYA (Studio), Python, Shell scripting, SQL, Unix
  • Advanced experience working Application User access and certifications
  • Experience with Enterprise Password Vault
  • Experience working with Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, RSAM, SAT, ACM, DCM
  • Experience with cloud technologies GAIA, AWS, Azure, Kafka, Kubernetes is a plus
  • Data wrangling with ability to perform basic ETL functions
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, Visio, data wrangling tools (SAS, Alteryx, R, Python)
  • Working with JPMC Data Warehousing environments


Preferred Skills

  • Strong root cause problem solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Must have "Can do" attitude -- Identify problems, take ownership, and provide solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., VBA, Python, AutoIt) preferred, but not required
  • Experience with one of the Incident Management Tools -- BMC, Service Manager, SNOW - would be very useful.
