National Bank of Arizona, a division of Zions Bancorporation, N.A. is currently accepting applications for an ACH Specialist. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 12:30 pm-9:00 pm (summer) and 1:30 pm-10:00 pm (winter). This position will start working from home and may require days in office in the future.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Accurately perform functions related to ACH transactions in compliance with regulatory and bank policies and procedures.
  • Be responsible for daily Automated Clearing House Origination procedures, including processing ACH files from clients and internal systems; returns, reversals, rejects, death notification entries, reclamations, perform OFAC verification, process exception items, implement and maintain ACH contract setups for ACH Origination clients.
  • Pull and review daily reports, reconciliations, and data entry in accordance with bank and regulatory guidance.
  • Learn and understand Federal Regulation E, The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines.
  • Manage workflow to optimize efficiency in day-to-day activities.
  • Identify customer and business partner needs using effective troubleshooting methods.
  • Perform transactional research, problem solving, and some technical issues.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to bank clients and business partners.
  • Respond to inquiries both verbally and in writing.
  • Determine trends and variances in daily processing and identify areas in which positive changes can be made.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent and some experience with accounting, balancing, banking and electronic payment processing, ACH systems, or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, balancing, banking, electronic payment processing, or other directly related.
  • Must have good research, customer service, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, resolve issues with assistance/direction.
  • Good PC skills.
  • Knowledge of ACH systems helpful.
