POSITION PURPOSE:

The position will be responsible for onboarding new plant employees, training employees, and contributing to the training program execution and development in accordance with priorities set forth by the district, the training department and Sanimax. The position will coordinate and help build an efficient training culture in the district with help from management and the training department.  The scope of the position includes being a trainer for (internal posting) Snorkel, tallow, and blending (external posting) Loading/Unloading trucks and finished goods related operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Build and implement a Sanimax Training program:

• Increase knowledge and skills of new employees and existing employees
• Evaluate knowledge, skill transfer, and training needs.
• In collaboration with the training department, assist with creating, updating, and deploying training materials such as the learning handbook, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), work instruction, quiz, etc...
• Coordinate with managers and supervisors to ensure training activities are completed (online training, tests, and quizzes)
• Submit signed training material that has being completed to training coordinator
• Assist in interview process and tour for candidates

Plant onboarding program

• Onboard new plant employees, prepare with all materials needed (locker, boots, etc.) and give detailed tour
• Be mentor, act as a guide, and a resource person for new employees.
• Ensure follow-up of onboarding activities when these are carried out by other departments.

Certified Trainer

• Become a certified trainer for Snorkel, Blending and Tallow
• Loading/Unloading trucks, finished goods operations.
• Assist in developing a “Train the Trainer” Program.
• Train and certify other plant trainers on designated shifts. Might have to temporarily adjust their schedule to train on the trainee’s typical shift.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with Rendering equipment preferred. Willing to train
• 1-3 years’ training experience
• Strong understanding of a manufacturing or production facility with the ability to organize people to perform at their greatest potential.
• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Outlook.
