Operations Team Project Coordinator – Building & Real Estate Engineering

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We're looking for a dedicated Operations Team Project Coordinator to join our Building & Real Estate Engineering team and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Operations Team Project Coordinator to join our Building & Real Estate Engineering Teams. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering projects across SOCOTEC's Fire, Façade, Structural, and Building Safety Consultancy service lines. The post holder will work closely with operational and technical teams to ensure accurate project delivery, maintain quality standards, support project tracking, and drive continual improvement in technical processes and systems. The role plays a critical part in facilitating the team's ability to achieve project milestones, maintaining technical accuracy, and supporting the overall business objectives of the Engineering team.

You'll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil or similar field), along with knowledge of construction project delivery and relevant building regulations, is essential to thrive in this position.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Coordinate project delivery across multiple engineering service lines on a daily basis whilst working with operational teams to achieve monthly targets

• Support technical teams during project execution stages to ensure accurate delivery across the Engineering business units

• Prepare project documentation, track milestones, and maintain quality assurance records throughout project lifecycles

• Respond to requests for information in a timely manner

• Deal with clients courteously and efficiently in a way that reinforces and harmonises the company/client relationships

• Comply with H&S Regulations

• Operate under SOCOTEC terms, conditions, and procedures

Qualifications

To be a successful Operations Team Project Coordinator, you should be able to demonstrate:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil or similar field) or a related discipline with relevant project coordination experience

• At least two years' experience in a similar project coordination or engineering support role, with a strong understanding of construction project delivery and building regulations

• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills, self-motivated, able to prioritise and work on own initiative, as well as following instructions and working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

• Proficiency in project tracking systems, documentation management, and quality assurance processes

• Commercial awareness and financial literacy to support business objectives and project profitability
