The Operations Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to manufacturing, purchasing, inventory, and production control functions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining material availability, inventory accuracy, production documentation, and system transactions that support daily manufacturing operations
Purchasing Support
· Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system.
· Assist with supplier communications regarding order confirmations, delivery schedules, and discrepancies.
· Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on outstanding deliveries.
· Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
· Support material availability requirements for manufacturing operations as assigned
· Provide documentation and provide feedback on quality issues and assist in rectifying inventory, returns, rework tracking and seeking credits back from suppliers for damaged or scrapped parts and/or for rework performed.
Production Control Support
· Release manufacturing work orders in accordance with production schedules and requirements.
· Ensure work orders contain accurate documentation and routing information.
· Assist with monitoring work order status and completion.
· Coordinate with production personnel to address material or documentation issues.
Inventory Management
· Perform inventory transactions including receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and cycle counts.
· Conduct physical inventory counts and support annual inventory activities.
· Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and system data.
· Assist with inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
Manufacturing Systems Support
· Develop proficiency as a backup Burn Table Programmer.
· Learn nesting and programming software to support production requirements.
· Assist with material planning and requirements related to burn table operations.
· Provide operational support for various manufacturing processes as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to learn ERP and manufacturing software systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
