OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR – COACH & TOUR

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Supervisor – Coach & Tour is a frontline operations leader responsible for executing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation service within a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. This role plays a critical part in translating operational plans into daily execution—ensuring that drivers, vehicles, and schedules are aligned to deliver best-in-market service.

Operating in close partnership with the Terminal Manager and across members of the Sales, Maintenance and Safety teams, the Operations Supervisor ensures that service expectations are met with consistency and precision while changing conditions in real time.

This position is designed for a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic operations, excels at problem-solving, and is committed to delivering exceptional service through disciplined execution and teamwork.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Operational Execution & Service Delivery

  • Execute daily transportation operations with accountability for on-time performance, service reliability, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage real-time scheduling adjustments to address changes driven by traffic, weather, equipment availability, or driver constraints
  • Ensure all trips are properly staffed and vehicles and drivers are prepared and dispatched on time to aligned with customer expectations
  • Identify and resolve operational disruptions quickly to minimize customer impact

Driver Oversight & Workforce Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate a diverse driver workforce, ensuring schedules are fair, efficient, and compliant with all regulations
  • Ensure drivers are properly prepared, uniformed, and equipped for their assignments
  • Support driver performance management, including coaching and administration of corrective actions as needed
  • Partner with recruiting and leadership to support hiring, onboarding, and workforce readiness

Scheduling & Resource Optimization

  • Administer scheduling practices to maximize utilization of drivers and fleet resources across a diverse trip portfolio
  • Align vehicle assignments with customer requirements and overall fleet planning
  • Coordinate with maintenance and other terminals to optimize vehicle availability and utilization
  • Manage non-revenue movements and inter-terminal coordination to ensure maximum efficiency

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner closely with Maintenance, Cleaning, and other operational teams to ensure vehicles are safe, clean, fueled, and ready for service
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules and operational requirements are aligned
  • Act as a central coordination point between field operations, sales, and customer contacts

Customer & Service Excellence

  • Maintain proactive communication with customers and internal stakeholders regarding service changes, delays, or issues
  • Deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all assignments
  • Support issue resolution with urgency, professionalism, and accountability

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company policies
  • Promptly report, document, and follow through on accidents, incidents, and safety concerns
  • Reinforce a culture of safety in all operational activities and decision-making

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Oversee collection and processing of driver paperwork supporting payroll, billing, and trip reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reporting to support performance tracking and accountability
  • Support Terminal Manager with operational analysis and execution priorities

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or service operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage real-time operational challenges
  • Ability to triage and prioritize operational issues to minimize disruption of service.
  • Proven ability to coordinate teams and resources effectively under pressure
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in transportation operations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • High level of accountability, attention to detail, and operational discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and capacity to understand and leverage company and industry tools to maximize service delivery
