This position is responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day functions of the branch environment, including meeting staff developments and member service goals. Candidates should have a great attitude and outgoing personality. A high degree of precision and competence in performing transactions for our members is essential. Demonstrate leadership skills and foster an environment supportive of the Credit Unions values, mission, and vision.

Comprehensive knowledge of banking relating to card services, ATM, wires, ACH, remote deposit, etc. is preferred. Candidates must have strong word processing and computer database skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.

Essential Functions

  1. Demonstrate leadership skills and foster an environment supportive of the Credit Unions values, accomplishments, mission and vision.
  2. Establish and maintain strategic Credit Union Operations Plan including card services, ATM, wires, ACH, checking, remote deposit and operations support to maximize competitive advantage and achieve corporate objectives.
  3. Analyze operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure efficient operations, optimal service delivery and exceptional member service.
  4. Communicate frequently with the operations employees to provide information, receive feedback and encourage team decisions concerning existing, new or revised systems and policies and procedures with the Credit Union.
  5. At the discretion of the Branch Manager, conduct or assist with hiring, promotions, reclassifications, transfers, training, mentoring, coaching, and disciplinary matters regarding assigned operation team members.
  • Mentor and coach others to achieve desired levels of performance; assist with evaluate and determine necessary training needs.
  • Ensure staff is cross-trained and knowledgeable about all Credit Union and CUSO products and services.
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to establish individual and team performance goals; review and monitor progress towards goals and measure results to track success.
  1. Recommend opportunities and strategies to Senior Management to improve credit union operations, member service and employee training.
  2. Actively pursue operations improvement opportunities and objectives.
  3. Continuously develop and enhance OWFCUs competitive status as an employer and member service provider.
  4. At the discretion of the Branch manager, provide assistance with necessary employment actions for adequate staffing and performance objectives.
  5. Ensure that training programs are implemented to carry out the Credit Unions declared mission and strategic business plan goals.
  6. Administer a sound job evaluation and salary administration program for attracting and retaining employees.
  7. Actively participate in product development initiatives.
  8. As requested, establish Operations policies and programs that maintain OWFCUs corporate image.
  9. Prepare and disseminate reports within specific timeframes, if requested or required.
  10. Assist with helping with all security controls necessary to maintain sound and secure branch operations.
  11. Determine proper control and individual accountability of cash and negotiable items in the branch in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
  12. Participate in the development and maintenance of a corporate-wide compliance culture.
  13. Promote and maintain good public relations with members, team members and management.
  14. Communicate in a respectful, professional, and timely manner in person, over the phone, and via e-mail.
  15. Contribute to a favorable public image of the Credit Union by establishing and maintaining professional relationships and participating in community activities.
  16. Cross-sell and promote OWFCU services to members and the community.
  17. Serve on committees and attend meetings as requested.
  18. Adhere to federal and state regulations, credit union policies and procedures, and other compliance obligations.
  19. With the Branch Manager, consistently set and achieve stated goals.
  20. Assist with departmental duties, training and audits as needed, requested or required.
  21. Satisfactory completion of all basic Credit Union required BAI training, in a timely manner.
  22. Satisfactory completion of all operations/teller supervisor required BAI training, in a timely manner.
  23. Participate in required meetings and training.
  24. Implement Credit Union policies and procedures and recommend revisions to achieve desired results.
  25. Demonstrate leadership skills and foster an environment supportive of the Credit Unions values, accomplishments, mission and vision.
  26. Represent the Credit Union with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  27. Support Management and member decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
  28. Actively participate in security, robbery, and disaster recovery training.
  29. Actively contribute to Credit Union and department team goals and functions, including but not limited to, initiating resolution of observed or known issues concerning other departments and championing other departmental changes that will benefit the organization.
  30. Must complete training and become knowledgeable in BSA, OFAC and Customer Identification regulations. Must follow policies and procedures in these areas.
  31. Fill in on the teller line when needed to meet members needs.
