Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The Opportunity:
The IS Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the Information Systems (IS) organization, assisting with budget tracking, procurement coordination, contract management, and vendor administration. This role will also contribute to project coordination activities, supporting IS initiatives and ensuring operational processes are executed efficiently and accurately.
This position is designed for an early-career professional with foundational experience in business operations, finance, or project coordination who is ready to take on increased responsibility in a dynamic IS environment.
Contracts Administration and Vendor Support
Support contract lifecycle activities, including document organization, routing for approval, and filing in the central contract repository.
Assist in tracking key contract milestones, renewals, and expiration dates.
Act as point of contact for all IS Contract Requestors and interactions with Legal
Coordinate with Procurement and Legal as needed for updates or amendments.
Maintain vendor records, contact information, and service level documentation.
Support vendor onboarding activities and assist with vendor performance tracking.
Help coordinate meetings and communications with vendors and internal IS stakeholders.
Procurement Coordination
Partner with the IS Leads, requestors, and internal stakeholders to initiate purchase requisitions and manage purchase orders.
Track procurement requests through the approval process and ensure timely follow-up with Procurement and vendors.
Maintain documentation for all procurement activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Financial & Budget Support
Assist with the tracking of IS operating and capital budgets, including processing invoices, reconciling expenses, and updating budget tracking tools.
Support preparation of financial reports and dashboards for IS leadership.
Help maintain accurate records of expenditures, accruals, and forecasts.
Collaborate with the IS Operations Lead and Finance team to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Project Coordination & Operational Support
Support IS project managers with project coordination tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining project plans, and tracking deliverables.
Help update project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet) to reflect progress and key milestones.
Assist in preparing project documentation, summaries, and communications. Maintain organized records, shared folders, and tracking systems.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in business operations, finance, IT administration, or project coordination.
Working knowledge of project management tools such as Smartsheet or equivalent platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Skills:
Experience in an IS or IT organization in Life Sciences.
Familiarity with procurement and contract management systems.
Exposure to financial tracking, budgeting, or reporting processes.
Interest in pursuing project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or process improvement training (e.g., Lean Six Sigma). #LI-Hybrid #LI-YG1
The base pay salary range for this full-time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is listed below. Our base pay salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual base pay salary is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
