The SPG Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the schedules of SPG radiologists, while ensuring accurate and timely payroll submissions. This role directly supports operational efficiency by serving as the primary point of contact for scheduling, managing payroll and productivity reporting, and assisting with onboarding and administrative functions.
The Specialist plays a critical role in delivering seamless coverage across multiple states and centers, maintaining compliance with payroll requirements, and supporting process improvements that drive scalability and consistency.
Scheduling
- Build, manage, and maintain the master schedule for SPG radiologists across multiple states and centers.
- Partner with market teams to ensure coverage aligns with patient demand and workflow needs.
- Maintain accurate schedules in QGenda, reflecting real-time remote vs. on-site assignments.
- Proactively communicate schedule changes to Physicians, Center Directors, and operations leadership.
- Identify gaps in coverage and collaborate with leadership to resolve staffing challenges.
- Support onboarding of new physicians by entering them into scheduling systems and training them on scheduling workflows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all scheduling inquiries and updates.
- Track scheduling metrics and provide reporting to leadership.
Payroll & Productivity
- Calculate and validate physician payroll based on schedules, coverage records, and time worked.
- Maintain a payroll calendar and ensure timely communication of submission deadlines.
- Submit payroll data accurately and on time in partnership with the payroll team.
- Run and analyze productivity reports to confirm accuracy in compensation and workload tracking.
- Act as liaison between physicians and the payroll team, resolving questions and discrepancies.
- Support payroll system integration projects and ongoing system management.
- Provide recurring and ad hoc payroll and productivity reports to operations leadership.
Operations & Administrative Support
- Assist with physician onboarding activities including scheduling setup, payroll, and credentialing coordination.
- Support IT infrastructure needs related to scheduling, payroll, and system integrations.
- Partner with credentialing teams to complete required activities and follow-up tasks.
- Provide general administrative support to operations leadership, including reporting and communications.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned to support broader SPG goals.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of healthcare scheduling, payroll, or operations experience, ideally in a multi-site or physician group setting.
- Proficiency with scheduling and payroll systems (QGenda preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail with accuracy and consistency in work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; comfortable working with physicians and administrators.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability to support diverse functions including payroll, IT coordination, credentialing, and administrative tasks.
