Position Summary
This position supports Ruffwear’s return processes and day-to-day execution of operational activities within the Ruffwear Warehouse. This role oversees product listings and order fulfillment for pre-owned items on Ruffwear’s resale platform, RuffWorn, and provides back-up support for processing Return Authorization (RA) requests. This role ensures returned products are cleaned, in perfect condition, accurately re-packaged, and ready to be displayed for resale. Like all roles at Ruffwear, this person has a first-hand understanding of the interactive bond between canines and humans and a passion for the outdoors.


What This Role Looks Like
  • Create and update product listings for pre-owned items on RuffWorn resale platform, conducting regular audits for accurate inventory and product information.
  • Escalate RuffWorn site issues or troubleshooting to the IT and Operations teams, as needed.
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders from RuffWorn resale platform, coordinating with the Customer Experience and Operations teams on order processing and fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, as well as electronic and paper records for all orders, shipments, and returns.
  • Support the Returns department to document all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
  • Collaborate with team members, including seasonal and/or temporary employees, on shared daily assignments and project action items..
  • Provide back-up support for the Operations Manager and other team members, as needed.
  • Complete additional assignments as directed by the Operations team to support smooth warehouse operations.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at a dedicated workstation in a warehouse setting.

Physical Demands
  • Lifting heavy objects, such as boxes of product (up to 40 lbs).
  • Standing for extended periods, bending, and/or kneeling.
  • Fine motor skills to work with objects, tools, or controls, as well as use of office equipment (e.g. computers, printers, and/or scanners).

What a Great Candidate Brings to the Role
  • At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or retail setting.
  • Some familiarity with returns and inventory management. 
  • Excellent attention-to-detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using hand trucks and/or pallet jacks.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using Google Workspace.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic proficiency in data entry and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Wix, Square Online, Squarespace).
  • Experience in the outdoor, pet and/or consumer products industry.

*Compensation - In the spirit of pay transparency, we're excited to share the expected base salary range for this role is $22-$25 per hour (exclusive of fringe benefits & potential quarterly bonuses). If you are hired at Ruffwear, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills and competencies and experience brought to the role. In addition to those factors, Ruffwear also prioritizes internal equity of current Pack members as part of any final offer. Total cash compensation is contingent on targeted company performance achievement. Therefore, target total cash compensation may vary annually.
