Key Responsibilities:
- Manages fill rates, physician and advance practice provider schedules and templates daily
- Manages in reach or out reach as relevant to assigned practices
- Ensures standard work is implemented to achieve quality metrics
- Provides coaching, feedback and ensures development conversations are completed for all members of the team
- Serves as escalation point for patient access to care
- Participates in PDSA's and other improvement activities. Provides leadership for PDSA’s or system improvements as needed
- Delegates work to assigned supervisors if appropriate
- Monitors daily clinic volumes and flexes staffing to meet staffing efficiency objectives
- Makes recommendations for long-range financial planning, program development and capital planning process to operational leadership
- Mentors new operations managers
- Implements actions to positively impact key revenue and expense drivers assigned areas to achieve margin targets
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare leadership or clinical healthcare field
OR
- Associates degree in Nursing and ability to obtain bachelor’s degree within 3 years from date of hire
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical setting or completion of administrative fellowship through Essentia Health fellowship program and 2 years of experience
- Demonstration of knowledge and application of Essentia Health’s senior operations manager competencies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare leadership
- Proven success in roles that require day-to-day accountability for business operations, financial targets, and business initiatives
