Encompass is a vendor with several solutions (CoorpID, Blacksmith) that helps banks in their KYC processes. We are setting up a new capability with all the tech skills needed to design, implement and maintain operate services from Encompass.

As an engineer you will be working on business priorities from the KYC business partners. The focus for the upcoming quarters will be on a safe and secure implementation. You are expected to work with tech colleagues from other disciplines and non-tech stakeholders like customer journey experts, subject matter experts, end users and product owners.

Major Responsibility Areas

As a SaaS Engineer you monitor and manage the following key elements:

• Application onboarding and integrations (CRA, due diligence, External Connections, Azure AD SSO + MFA etc.)
• Application support (triage and ensuring that the process for escalation and issues is dealt with efficiently)
• IT Risk controls (ITRMP, BIA, DRA, Outsource Controls etc.)
• IAM processes (SOLL, One Identity integration, automation etc.)
• Supplier assurance reporting, including adequate challenging and escalation (TPCRM, pen tests, DR test, SOC reports)
• Intragroup services (services provided by another part of ING into WB UK Tech)
• Regular service review meetings for applicable suppliers
• Service reporting and service level agreement monitoring
• Regulatory / Audit requirements and reporting

As a SaaS Engineer you have the following key skills and knowledge:

• ING's key policies and standards, including: ITRMP and IT Risk management
• Industry IT Service management knowledge (ITiL)
• Industry IT Security knowledge (CISsP, CISM, CCSP etc.)
• Industry cloud technology concepts and general knowledge (Azure, AWS, GCP etc.)
• Excellent communicator & professional demeanor
• Independent task manager & self starter
• Keen interest in technology & automation

Keep the Bank Safe

• Ensure Encompass IT Custodianship is ensured. This includes the product roadmap.
• ING standards and regulatory requirements are followed.
• ING security and other control mechanisms are implemented.
• Meet all functional and non-functional service levels as agreed with the stakeholders.

Education: University qualifications in IT or other engineering discipline.

Functional and Technical Skills:

• Domain Knowledge of banking and more specifically KYC is a prerequisite.
• You have demonstrable engineering skills
• You have knowledge of agile, software development, DevOps, SDLC.
• You have exposure to multiple, diverse infrastructure, application and information technologies and processing environments.
• You know IT risk controls (access controls, change controls, physical security).

Previous Experiences (in case of senior):

• You have 3 years of experience as operations engineer working on technical software implementation.
