At Nitrodynamics, we specialize in innovative defense technologies, such as ISR drones, AI-based
command and control systems, and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles
(AUVs). Our mission is to provide cutting-edge solutions that
solve complex military challenges. We are looking for a Military Operations Research Analyst to join our team
and play a critical role in optimizing our defense solutions
through advanced analytics, modeling, and coding of military
algorithms.
As a Military Operations Research Analyst, you
will be responsible for designing and coding mathematical
models, algorithms, and simulations that optimize military
operations. You will also develop user-friendly presentation
layers for delivering insights to defense clients and
stakeholders. Your work will drive the efficiency and
effectiveness of Nitro Dynamics' defense technologies,
ensuring optimal resource allocation, mission success, and decision support in military operations.
- Modeling and Algorithm Development: Design and code
mathematical models and algorithms that optimize military
operations, such as resource allocation, mission planning, and
logistics optimization.
- Coding and
Implementation: Implement mathematical formulas,
optimization models, and simulations in programming languages like
Python, MATLAB, R, or C++.
- Presentation Layer Development: Create intuitive and
visually appealing presentation layers for communicating model
results and insights to military stakeholders and
decision-makers.
- Simulation and
Optimization: Build simulation environments to evaluate
and predict the outcomes of different military strategies
and operational scenarios.
- Data
Integration and Analysis: Analyze large datasets from
sensors (ELINT, COMINT, radar, sonar) and navigation systems,
integrating them into your models for real-time decision-making
and optimization.
- Collaborative
Innovation: Work with engineers, data scientists, and
defense personnel to push the boundaries of military
technology and deliver impactful solutions.
- Risk and Threat Analysis: Conduct risk assessments and
develop algorithms to mitigate potential vulnerabilities in
defense operations.
RequirementsRequired Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or a
related field.
- Experience: 3-5
years of experience in operations research or military
analysis, particularly in a defense or government
context.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Experience coding mathematical models, algorithms, and
simulations in Python, MATLAB, R, or C++.
- Proficiency in creating user-friendly and interactive
presentation layers (e.g., dashboards, visualizations) using
tools like Tableau, Power BI, or custom-built
interfaces.
- Strong understanding of
operations research techniques such as optimization,
stochastic modeling, and simulation.
- Expertise with optimization tools like Gurobi, CPLEX, and
simulation software like Arena or
AnyLogic.
- Experience coding mathematical models, algorithms, and
simulations in Python, MATLAB, R, or C++.
- Defense related Knowledge:
- Familiarity with defense
technologies such as drones, AI-command systems, and
autonomous vehicles.
- Experience with
military operations, logistics, and supply chain
management.
- Familiarity with defense
technologies such as drones, AI-command systems, and
autonomous vehicles.
- Problem-Solving
Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving
skills with a focus on developing innovative solutions to
complex military challenges.
- Communication Skills: Ability to present clearly technical findings and insights to both technical and
non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience in defense contracting or working directly
with military clients (army, navy, or air force).
- Experience with data visualization and creating customized interfaces for simulation results and decision-support
models.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning
techniques as applied to defense systems.
