Kodiak Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2018 and has become a leader in autonomous ground transportation committed to a safer and more efficient future for all. The company has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack purpose-built for commercial trucking and the public sector. The company delivers freight daily for its customers across the southern United States using its autonomous technology. In 2024, Kodiak became the first known company to publicly announce delivering a driverless semi-truck to a customer. Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.

We are looking for a Operations Recruiter to help us scale our Fleet Operations team, while providing an excellent candidate experience and making Kodiak one of the top places to work. You will own full-cycle recruiting for critical Operations roles, partnering with hiring managers to define profiles and run tight, structured interview processes. You’ll build and sustain strong pipelines through outbound sourcing, events, and relationships with trade schools, colleges, and local and statewide partners, acting as a subject matter expert on Kodiak’s operations and freight network.

In this role, you will:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for logistics, transportation, and operations roles (e.g., CDL drivers, fleet/AV technicians, dispatch/ops, field integration, Permian Basin / Midland–Odessa roles).
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, create aligned candidate profiles, calibrate on resumes, and drive structured, efficient interview processes.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of qualified candidates through outbound sourcing, job postings, referrals, events, and industry networks.
  • Deliver an excellent candidate experience by communicating clearly, setting expectations, and ensuring candidates feel informed and respected at every step.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Kodiak’s operations, freight network, and field environments so you can credibly and enthusiastically pitch our roles and impact.
  • Provide market insights to hiring managers and the People team on talent availability, compensation signals, and competitive activity in logistics/transportation.
  • Identify and drive improvements in recruiting workflows, interview processes, and messaging to make our recruiting efforts more effective and efficient.
  • Attend Job Fairs, hiring and networking events on behalf of Kodiak.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local and statewide hiring resources including identifying Trade Schools and College and University Programs that are graduating potential candidates for Kodiak.
  • Travel up to 1 week per month to other Kodiak offices, hiring events, conferences, and Customer sites.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a focus on logistics, transportation, trucking, warehousing, field operations, or related talent markets.
  • Track record of building and managing pipelines for roles like CDL drivers, fleet technicians, dispatch/operations, or similar frontline logistics and Operations positions.
  • Familiarity with shift-based and field roles, and how to position these roles competitively in the market.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced start-up environment, switching between different roles, locations, and hiring priorities as the business grows.
  • Proven ability to source, engage, and close passive candidates, and to tell a compelling story about the company and role.
  • Experience building recruiting programs for referrals, events, or community partnerships in logistics/transportation.
  • Strong partnership skills with hiring managers and operations leaders—you know how to run great intake meetings, set expectations, and influence decisions with data and insight.
  • Comfort working with basic recruiting metrics (pipeline health, conversion rates, time-to-fill) and sharing them with stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable style.
  • Experience using Greenhouse or a similar Applicant Tracking System, and a habit of keeping data and reqs up to date.
  • A sense of urgency and ownership—you care about time-to-fill, quality of hire, and candidate experience, and you push processes forward.

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation package including equity and biannual bonuses
  • Excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision plans through Kaiser Permanente, Anthem, and Guardian (including a medical plan with infertility benefits)
  • Flexible PTO and generous parental leave policies

At Kodiak, we strive to build a diverse community working towards our common company goals in a safe and collaborative environment where harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited. Kodiak is committed to equal opportunity employment regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable law.

In alignment with its business operations, Kodiak adheres to all relevant statutes, regulations, and administrative prerequisites. Accordingly, roles that carry more sensitive requirements may be limited to candidates that can satisfy additional scrutiny and eligibility for such positions may hinge on verification of a candidate’s residence, U.S. person status, and/or citizenship status. Should the position require, and Kodiak determines that a candidate’s residence, U.S. person status, and/or citizenship status necessitate an export license, bar the candidate from the position, or otherwise fall under national security-related restrictions, Kodiak will consider the candidate for alternative positions unaffected by such restrictions, under terms and conditions set forth at Kodiak’s sole discretion, or, as an alternative, opt not to proceed with the candidate’s application. If applicable, Kodiak may provide visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.
