The Role

Maxar Space is seeking an experienced Operations Project Administrator to join our team, reporting directly to the Director of Cyber Engineering. This role is critical in managing and coordinating our cybersecurity initiatives, with a focus on budget administration, program support, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and managing the annual cybersecurity budget.
  • Track and report on budget expenditures to ensure alignment with departmental goals.
  • Analyze the cost-effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives and propose optimizations.
  • Facilitate daily scrum-based standups to ensure team alignment and progress tracking
  • Support team members with expense management and travel arrangements
  • Develop and coordinate executive presentations
  • Organize and coordinate team meetings and other departmental events
  • Manage project documentation, including plans, status reports, and policy documents
  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including team members, vendors, and external partners
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and procedures
  • Document project risks and issues, working with project managers to develop mitigation strategies


Minimum Requirements

  • U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or related field
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting and cost analysis
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in project management and organizational tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams


Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with managing departmental budgets in a manufacturing organization, including balancing direct and indirect costs against the available workforce
  • Relevant certification such as PMP Certification, CSPM, CompTIA Project+
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and acting as a scrum master
  • Experience in cybersecurity projects is a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $74,000.00 - $122,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $81,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $85,000.00 - $141,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
