Job Description

The Operations Processor is responsible for researching, investigating, and resolving ACH fraud and dispute cases involving unauthorized, disputed, or erroneous account activity. This individual will independently manage a daily queue of ACH cases, which may include unauthorized transactions, duplicate charges, billing disputes, and other ACH-related claims. This teams collaborates with internal bankers and representatives to obtain information and resolve cases. This is a multifaceted, production-focused role requiring a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, adaptability, and effective workload prioritization. The successful candidate will take initiative, work independently, and learn new or changing claim-processing procedures as business and regulatory requirements evolve.

This role requires working from the posted U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a daily queue of ACH fraud and dispute cases.

  • Research, investigate, validate, and resolve unauthorized, disputed, or erroneous ACH transactions.

  • Review incoming claims and supporting information for completeness and accuracy.

  • Conduct transaction research and internal investigations to determine the appropriate case disposition.

  • Process provisional or final credits based on investigation results and applicable requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal bankers and representatives to gather information and resolve cases.

  • Prioritize assignments and manage case queues to meet applicable Regulation E deadlines.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four years or more of operations services related work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Regulation E knowledge is beneficial but not required; training can be provided

- Strong prioritization and time-management skills, particularly when managing regulatory deadlines

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work

- Ability to work effectively with internal partners and contribute as a collaborative team member
- Good time management skills to maximize production and execution of tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability and willingness to learn as regulations, processes, and procedures change

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $21.25 - $28.32
