About the Role

The Operations Manager / Production Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the operation, including industrial maintenance, warehouse, and production control areas. This position is 100% onsite at our Health & Medical plant in Yumbo, Valle de Cauca, reporting directly to the Site Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a role model for Safety and Essity values, behaviors, and beliefs.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and implement management systems and operational standards.
  • Lead the Autonomous Maintenance pillar, strengthening organizational capability.
  • Own operational results (SQCDM) and ensure performance targets are met.
  • Develop and coach teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Apply structured problem-solving tools to eliminate losses and optimize performance.
  • Manage the annual operational budget and ensure cost control.
  • Ensure strong communication routines through daily, weekly, and monthly performance meetings.
  • Lead performance management processes and support growth of critical operational areas.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in industrial operations or production leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of TPM, maintenance systems, and industrial processes.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiency.
  • Advanced English proficiency (required)
