The Operations Manager leads the operational and strategic direction of laboratory services. This role ensures client sample testing is delivered with precision, efficiency, and compliance. The Manager aligns laboratory performance with broader organizational goals and industry expectations.
- Participates in the hiring, training, and overall management of laboratory staff, including supervisors
- Manages the laboratory's operational budget, controlling expenditures and allocating resources effectively
- Ensures the laboratory complies with relevant regulations and accreditation standards
- Develops, implements, and revises laboratory policies and procedures
- Communicates laboratory performance metrics, challenges, and achievements to senior management
- Coordinates activities and ensures effective workflow between different departments
- Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for laboratory operations
- Oversees the laboratory's equipment maintenance and calibration programs
- Addresses and resolves escalated operational issues and staff conflicts
- Contributes to the selection and procurement process for new laboratory equipment and supplies
- Performs other duties as required
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)
- 5 to 7 years of relevant analytical laboratory experience, including progressive leadership in team supervision, budgeting, quality systems, and regulatory compliance (Required)
