About the Role
As an Operations Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day site operations and ensure smooth, efficient, and safe workflows across the business. You will coordinate with teams such as Engineering, Logistics, Quality, HR, Finance, and QHSE to deliver strong operational and financial results. This role involves leading people, optimizing processes, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring that customer expectations are met through reliable operational execution.
You will play a key role in aligning people, processes, and technology to achieve long‑term business goals and contribute to a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
*This role requires on‑site presence in Hoofddorp and candidates are required to reside in the Netherlands.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead and manage site operations to ensure performance targets, budgets, and service levels are achieved.
- Supervise, guide, and develop teams across operations, ensuring clear task allocation, performance management, and ongoing coaching.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence, lean activities, and engineering change processes.
- Coordinate inventory control processes across sites, ensuring alignment with customer and vendor requirements and service-level agreements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal partners to support a smooth information flow and deliver strong customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and QEHS requirements are followed at all times.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer communications, escalations, and strategic discussions.
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Represent DP World positively by role‑modeling company values and behaviors.
What You Will Bring
Proven experience in operations management or a related environment, ideally including 5+ years in production or logistics leadership.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with datasets, understand KPIs, and translate operational needs into clear insights or dashboards.
- Effective leadership skills with experience supervising teams and fostering a collaborative, inclusive working environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and deliver results within agreed timelines.
A proactive mindset with strong initiative, adaptability, and flexibility — comfortable taking on challenges and navigating change.
