About Packsize

Packsize is an automation company that enables more efficient and sustainable packaging process flows—from packing to unboxing. We’re propelling our customers and the industry forward, always looking to innovate and improve. Because, to us, packaging is about much more than a box; it’s about delivering what’s right—for our customers, their customers, and our planet.

About the Role

The Operations Manager at our Louisville facility oversees daily operations for one or more assigned production areas, ensuring that all output meets established schedules, safety standards, and quality goals. This on-site leadership role is responsible for managing a skilled team that operates production machinery, assembles products, performs quality checks, and prepares goods for shipment.

You’ll collaborate closely with R&D, product development and engineering, facilities management, maintenance, and customer service teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals surrounding safety, efficiency, quality, and profitability. This position is ideal for an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is motivated by continuous improvement and team development.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee daily production operations to meet delivery, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Manage and develop a team responsible for machine assembly, quality control, and packaging.

  • Ensure proper staffing levels, training readiness, and inventory availability to meet production demand.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, R&D, and customer service to resolve issues and drive improvement.

  • Monitor production data and metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency gains or cost reduction.

  • Promote a positive safety culture and help create an environment focused on innovation and learning.

  • Support departmental budgeting, planning, and procedural improvements.

  • Lead by example—coaching and mentoring team members while making personnel decisions in alignment with company policies.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in production or operations management.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control principles.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, make data-driven decisions, and manage complex operational challenges.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic planning skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

  • Ability to lead operations in a variety of manufacturing environments, including low-volume, high complexity assembly.

  • What Success Looks Like

Production schedules consistently met or exceeded without compromising quality or safety.

Efficient operations supported by well-trained, motivated, and aligned team members.

Inventory levels and staffing are optimized to meet customer demand.

Continuous improvement initiatives are focused on the manufacturing vision to improve safety, scalability, flexibility, and operational excellence.

  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions

This is an on-site role at our Louisville facility. The position requires regular presence on the production floor and interaction with machinery and materials. Occasional lifting, standing, or walking may be required.

  • What We Offer

The salary range for this role is $104,592- $128,100 USD; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to the role being offered, associated responsibilities, prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
