The Role
Main Purpose:As an Operations Manager, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating a broad range of operational activities encompassing maintenance, transport and logistics, construction projects, and business support functions. Will be responsible to ensure that all operations are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing maintenance programs to maximize asset reliability and uptime; overseeing transport and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods and materials; directing construction initiatives from planning through completion, ensuring quality, safety, and budget adherence; and providing robust business support services that enable seamless daily operations across departments.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

1- Engineering & Maintenance:

Oversee all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes to ensure full compliance with Puma’s policies, objectives, and standards. Manage project activities to strictly adhere to contract requirements, budgets, and timelines, ensuring timely completion within allocated resources.

2- Team Leadership and Development:

Select, lead, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.

3- Capital and Operating Expenditure Management:

Manage Capital Expenditure (Capex) projects for retail and B2B customers, ensuring successful implementation and thorough reporting. Oversee Operating Expense (Opex) budgets for relevant departments, ensuring spending aligns with financial plans and business objectives.

4- Budget Oversight and Reporting:

Manage and monitor budget allocation and expenditures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Prepare and deliver regular reports on budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to support fiscal responsibility.

5- Transport & Logistics

Monitor and analyze transport and logistics efficiencies to identify opportunities for operational improvements. Oversee cost management and optimization across fleet operations, freight, imports, and exports to enhance overall performance and reduce expenses.

6- Customer Service Operational Support:
Support Puma’s customer service operations by ensuring smooth coordination between teams, managing service workflows, and facilitating timely resolution of customer issues. Drive efficiency in processes to uphold Puma’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience as a Manager
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and contingency strategies.
  • Developed and executed strategies to improve team productivity and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail/manufacturing environment.
  • Handled vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and budget management to align with company objectives.
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across engineering, construction, business support and retail departments
  • Manage multiple Capex and Opex projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Managed operational workflows, led cross-functional teams, and optimized supply chain processes to improve delivery timelines and reduce costs.
  • Monitor operational budgets, track expenses, and provide detailed financial reporting to senior management.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring best terms for the company.
