Job Description Summary• Market Development is responsible for creating and expanding digital payment ecosystem through partnerships with key Fintech, Retail and CPG players in the market. • This position will play a key role in helping Mastercard create business with all new players in the payment industry and promoting the regional expansion.• This role plays a key factor in the socio-economic development of the markets through digitization of payments and financial inclusion.
Role
Main accountabilities: • Analyze the market to identify priorities around all players and use-cases.• Identify market opportunities and drive product strategy, roadmap, and features • Interact with functional areas to identify solutions and opportunities for merchants• Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining new processes for both new and existing payment methods in merchants • Manage the multiple project tracks and lead the overall program. Provide status updates, identify risk, drive issue resolution, and take ownership to create success • Develop the strategy for those opportunities identified in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. • Drive new business development by sourcing new relationships in the assigned countries.• Initiate conversations with key decision makers for existing, new or emerging product opportunities in the markets. • Execute the overall Market Development Strategy to support market objectives, and present it for approval.
All About You• Bachelor's degree and Master Degree required.• Work experience in business development and/or planning organizations. • Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent knowledge (both written and spoken) in English.• Digital knowledge• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with many departments and levels of management• Analytical and strategic thinking• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently.• Keen analytical and proven problem solving skills; strong strategic and conceptual aptitude. • Proven team player with excellent interpersonal skills.• Ability to work under pressure.• Ability to work on ambiguous environments. • Entrepreneurial skills. • Preferred experience in global payment e-commerce role• Work experience with retail or T&E or Technology industry
