Primary Role:
Responsible in overseeing night shift Operation necessary to attain successful Order fulfilment on time, meeting quality requirements at cost targets.
Leads & mentors cross functional teams at night shift.
Primary objective - Meets daily, weekly, quarterly thruput results aligned to capacity targets and deliver quality products consistently and develop continuous improvement in manufacturing technology & process control which yield, as a byproduct, higher levels of efficiency and productivity as measured in the aggregate and on a per unit basis for Night Shift operation.
Production Management:
Oversee all aspects of production during the night shift, including scheduling, resource allocation, and process optimization.
Develops clearly defined deliverables for Lean Manufacturing in accordance with the company's scorecard system / KPI’s.
Personnel Management:
Supervises, coaches, and motivates employees, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Provides work leadership and mentor product team members while directing routine team assignments and activities.
Quality Control:
Monitors and ensures the quality of products being produced, adhering to quality standards and specifications.
Process Improvement:
Identifies areas for improvement in production processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Establishes and maintains KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
Develops and sustains productivity improvements using data analysis and related manufacturing tools. Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency, using methodologies such as Six Sigma.
Problem Solving:
Addresses production issues and challenges as they arise, collaborating with other departments to find effective solutions.
Actively participate and support the company's quality policy according to corporate standards, lead a culture of Zero Defects standard, deploy the required tools (8D, FMEA, Control Plans, OCAP, DMAIC) and data analysis within cross-functional teams to achieve the committed results.
Communication:
Maintains clear communication with other shifts, management, and relevant departments to ensure smooth operations.
Performance Tracking:
Monitors production performance metrics, such as output, scrap rates, and safety incidents, and report on progress.
Equipment and Facilities Coordination:
Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure the equipment is functioning correctly and to address any necessary repairs.
Documentation:
Maintains accurate records of production activities, safety inspections, and other relevant documentation.
Safety and Security
Conducts building security rounds, enforces company rules and regulations and manages safety and emergency incidents.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role related to high precision, high mix machine shop environment.
Experience :
Minimum of ten (10) years in a manufacturing or quality environment, with a minimum of five years’ managerial experience.
Skill/ Technical Requirements :
Computer literate in MS Office applications.
Familiar with ISO 9001.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.
Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge in data analytics, statistics, knowledge in LSS, MS Office.
Working knowledge of SPC and DOE and other statistical tools.
Must possess advanced documentation knowledge and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a self-directed environment.
Requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and priorities. Familiarity with safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Excellent communication skills to interact with employees, management, and other departments.
Skills Required
