As the Company progresses from operational setup into full-scale manufacturing, the role
will play a critical part in establishing effective operational systems, processes, controls,
and performance standards. The position will also ensure that operational plans are
effectively translated into execution and that emerging bottlenecks, resource constraints
and operational risks are proactively identified and addressed.
The Operations Manager will provide leadership to the Production Manager,
Engineering/Maintenance Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Procurement & Logistics
Manager, ensuring effective cross-functional coordination and accountability across the
Operations function.
The role reports to the Managing Director.
Requirements
Experience & Education
o Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing,
Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
o Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial operations,
production, supply chain, or a related operational environment, with at least 5
years in a management or senior supervisory role.
o Proven experience managing or coordinating multiple operational functions,
preferably including Production, Engineering/Maintenance, Warehouse, and
Procurement/Logistics.
o Proven experience in manufacturing operations planning, KPI management, resource
optimisation, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Relevant Certifications:
o Nigerian (Preferred):
▪ Relevant professional membership/certification from recognised
operations, engineering, supply chain, or management professional
bodies.
▪ ISPON/HSE certification or equivalent safety qualification.
o International (Preferred):
▪ APICS/ASCM, CIPS, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, NEBOSH/IOSH, or other relevant
operations, supply chain, quality, or safety certifications.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, production, supply chain, or a related operational environment
- At least 5 years in a management or senior supervisory role
- Experience managing or coordinating multiple operational functions, preferably including Production, Engineering/Maintenance, Warehouse, and Procurement/Logistics
- Experience in manufacturing operations planning, KPI management, resource optimization, cost control, and continuous improvement
- Relevant professional membership or certification from a recognized operations, engineering, supply chain, or management professional body
