Leidos is seeking an Operations Manager to support NASA’s National Security Systems team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the quick reaction support to the NSS team and the NASA customer to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.

Technical Requirements
Administration and support of isolated enterprise networks (LAN, WAN, and secure enclaves).
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
Enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
Network monitoring, logging, and performance management tools that operate without internet connectivity.
Configuration management and patch management in offline environments.
Identity and access management, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
Network security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
Understanding of secure media handling, software validation, and offline update processes.
Experience with system hardening using industry security baselines.
Security and Compliance
Experience operating within regulated or high-security environments.
Knowledge of security frameworks such as:
NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
NIST SP 800-53
CIS Benchmarks
STIG implementation and compliance
Experience supporting audits and maintaining accreditation documentation.
Understanding of least-privilege access, separation of duties, and secure change control.
Management Responsibilities
Manage daily operations for network, server, and infrastructure teams.
Ensure system availability, reliability, and operational readiness.
Coordinate incident response, problem management, and root cause analysis.
Oversee configuration and change control processes.
Coordinate scheduled maintenance and outage planning.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Manage hardware lifecycle, software licensing, and asset inventory.
Partner with cybersecurity, engineering, and compliance teams.
Coordinate vendor support activities while ensuring adherence to security policies, contractual requirements, and operational restrictions.
Preferred Certifications
ITIL Foundation or higher.
PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Cisco CCNP (Enterprise or Security).
CompTIA Security+ or Network+.
CISSP (preferred for senior positions).
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft certifications.
