Operations Manager | WA

Perth Based | Regular FIFO Travel Across WA Villages | 5:2 Roster

Position Overview

Civeo is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight across our Western Australian village portfolio.

Based in Perth and regularly travelling to our sites, this is a hands-on multi-site leadership role for someone who knows how to get close to operations, support Village Managers and deliver consistently across safety, service, people, client and commercial performance.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of remote accommodation operations, balancing the needs of our clients and guests with contract performance and operational priorities. You’ll be visible on site, understand what is happening at operational level and work alongside our Village Managers to solve problems, strengthen performance and drive consistency.

This role would suit an established operational leader from remote accommodation, mining services, facilities management, hospitality or a similarly complex multi-site environment who is comfortable moving between strategic priorities and the day-to-day realities of site operations.

Based in Perth, you’ll undertake regular FIFO travel across Western Australia, typically travelling to site Tuesday to Thursday each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational performance across multiple accommodation villages, with a strong focus on safety, service delivery, people and commercial outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching and support to Village Managers and site leadership teams.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted operational partner across your portfolio.
  • Monitor contract and operational performance, identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive consistency in operational standards, governance and service delivery across sites.
  • Work closely with Finance, HSQE, IT, Retail Operations and other support functions to resolve issues and deliver business priorities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, guest experience and profitability.
  • Support mobilisations, operational improvement initiatives and business growth activities.
  • Develop leadership capability across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Create a culture where accountability, collaboration, safety and continuous improvement are part of everyday operations.

Experience

  • Significant operational leadership experience within remote accommodation, mining or resources services, facilities management, large-scale hospitality or a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple sites, contracts or operational portfolios.
  • Experience leading and developing operational managers and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the relationship between service delivery, contract requirements and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated client and stakeholder management experience.
  • The ability to quickly understand operational issues, establish priorities and drive practical solutions.
  • Experience operating in fast-moving environments where priorities and client requirements can change.
  • A genuine willingness to travel regularly to Civeo villages across Western Australia.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Commercially astute with strong operational judgement.
  • Confident and credible communicator who can build relationships at site, client and senior leadership level.
  • Strong coaching and people leadership capability.
  • Practical and solutions focused, with the ability to make decisions and follow through.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use operational data and trends to identify opportunities.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple sites, stakeholders and priorities.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in remote operational environments.
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Office capability.
  • Qualification in Business, Hospitality or a related discipline is desirable.

  • Opportunity to influence operational performance across multiple locations.
  • Be part of a business focused on growth, service delivery and continuous improvement.
