The Role
Own day-to-day operations for founder-led businesses: identify and fix inefficient processes, build SOPs and automations, coordinate projects/vendors, track performance, and use AI to reduce repetitive work so founders regain time to grow the business.
Summary Generated by Built In

You’re not here to manage a task list. You’re here to make the business run better.

Step into the founder’s world, take ownership of the operation, and turn messy processes into systems that actually work. You’ll combine sharp operational judgment with AI and automation to eliminate repetitive work, keep priorities moving, and give the founder something incredibly valuable: time back to focus on growing the business.

About the Company: This global organization connects high-caliber operations professionals with founders and executives of fast-growing, founder-led businesses.

After hundreds of successful placements, the team is taking operations one step further: combining strong human judgment with AI-powered systems, workflows, and automation. Its goal is simple — help founders step out of the operational weeds by building businesses that can run effectively without everything depending on them.

The company operates remotely across roughly 20 countries and is building the next generation of operators who know how to own a business operation, improve it, and use AI to make it dramatically more efficient.

Location: Fully Remote

Your Mission: Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operations and drive priorities from idea to done.

  • Become deeply familiar with the founder's business, tools, standards, and decision-making.

  • Identify broken, manual, or repetitive processes and improve them permanently.

  • Build SOPs, systems, AI workflows, and automations that reduce manual work.

  • Coordinate projects, people, vendors, timelines, and key deliverables.

  • Track operational performance and use the numbers to identify what needs improving next.

  • Make sound decisions independently and escalate when judgment genuinely requires it.

  • Keep the founder informed without needing to be chased for updates.

  • Continuously look for opportunities to save time, reduce costs, and make the operation run better.

Your Toolbox: Skills to be Successful

  • Experience as an Operations Manager, Online Business Manager (OBM), founder's right hand, or in a comparable high-ownership operations role.

  • Experience working in fast-moving, founder-led businesses where structure isn't always handed to you.

  • Strong operational judgment — you can take an ambiguous problem and turn it into a practical plan.

  • A track record of improving processes rather than simply maintaining them.

  • High ownership and follow-through. You notice what needs doing and move it forward.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Confidence working independently in a fully remote environment.

  • Curiosity about AI and a genuine drive to use it to get real work done.

You don't need to be an AI expert. Training and support are provided. What matters is that you're willing to learn, experiment, and build.

Experience with tools such as Zapier, Make, AI agents, dashboards, SOPs, or internal automation is a plus — not a requirement.

Your Perks: What's in it for you

  • A clear path to increased compensation and responsibility as you prove your impact.

  • Hands-on development in AI-driven operations and automation.

  • Real ownership — this is an operator seat, not an assistant title with extra responsibilities.

  • Direct exposure to fast-growing, founder-led businesses.

  • The opportunity to build systems and workflows that replace hours of repetitive work.

  • A role designed to expand as quickly as your ability to own more of the operation.

Location isn't used as a proxy for ability. Strong operators are encouraged to apply regardless of where they're based, provided they have a reliable remote setup and can support the working requirements of the role.
