Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.
The Project Management Intern will support Aftermarket Logistics and Operations team.
The Aftermarket Project and Program team is responsible for leading multiple year initiative to upgrade the WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) to the EWM platform. As part of the implementation, a centralized template is being built to drive the future state of warehouse operations using a strategic roll out plan to onboard 11 Aftermarket PDCs (Parts Distribution Centers). As per the current timeline, the pilot PDC (Des Moines) is planned to launch in late Q1 2026 followed by feature specific PDC launches through early 2028.
Deliverable: The team is working in close collaboration with Vendor, Operations, IT, Supply Chain, and Finance teams managing the execution. Both the team members in close association with the manager are supporting the respective lead roles accountable for the delivery. In addition, the respective leads are also supporting OCM (Organizational Change Management) as this initiative is not just platform replacement, but more so about cultural shift in doing warehouse operations to gain synergies in efficiency, standards & scalability supporting DTNA's Simple, Faster and Stronger objective.
One of the critical foresights of such magnitude project post launch is the commitment to track and monitor issues, prioritization, closely work with vendor on resolution. Though the key would be platform stability of the pilot PDC, but the team will have their hands full with multiple tasks including rolling out more features, the execution of the next PDC, working with operations on knowledge transfer, supporting two warehouse systems in the interim.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $29 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements in warehouse operations
  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics team to implement improvement and future strategy roadmap
  • Create detailed process documentation outlining step-by-step procedure accounting for key system features
  • Develop robust methods to report and track risk factors improving clarity of potential impact as part of change management
  • Support project leads & manager in developing and execution of deliverables on time and in budget
  • Design visual aids and graphics to represent task semantics feeding the dashboard on progress
  • Manage and lead post launch topics including the creation and maintenance of scope TIP
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings. Publish and manage meeting minutes and action items and drive closure on topics
  • Identify risks and escalate to management when appropriate. Prepare project status reports and present to stakeholders
  • Closely work with manager on change requests and assure resolution in a timely manner
  • Coordination of OCM (Organizational Change Management) activities including publishing monthly newsletter, project communication etc.
  • Assist in the design and development of warehouse systems and continuous improvements
  • Able to identify shortfalls in projects, communicate to project team or management, and assist in proper resolutions and implementation with coaching
  • Use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance distribution processes
  • Strategize and use AI enable techniques to present network logistics optimization
  • A strong team player and engage in discussions to promote industry specific practices for improvements, and lean methodology
  • Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture where everyone belongs

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June) 
  • Degree associated to Logistics or Distribution Operations or related field
  • Understanding of Project Management Methodology viz Waterfall and/or Agile Principles
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Jira, CALM, Microsoft Office, Azure Dev ops etc.
  • Customer orientated with the drive to develop customer-focused solutions.         
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change.
  • Passion for driving positive outcomes for our customers is required.
