ATI is seeking an Operations Leader to join our Specialty Rolled Products group for our Monaca, PA facility.  This position is responsible for leading a diverse, represented hourly workforce in day-to-day operational activities, in a manufacturing setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Control for his/her production units. To accomplish this, the candidate must be able to interact with all levels of the organization including support staffs.

 

Essential Functions

  • Manage hourly personnel including daily assignments, work performance, and policy adherence.
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability with direct involvement in maintenance activities.
  • Implement improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles to improve safety, quality, efficiency, costs, and overall performance.
  • Lead daily operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and adherence to established operating standards.
  • Develop technical knowledge of equipment and processes to support troubleshooting, operator effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Math discipline
  • Experience as an Operations Leader/supervisor in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading a represented/union workforce
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
  • Exposure to equipment maintenance/reliability practices

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to lead a diverse and represented hourly workforce. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills. Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to use statistical software is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to use today's statistical methods such as Six Sigma is a plus.
  • This is a steady daylight position. However, the successful candidate must have the ability to work shifts, including weekends as required
  • Candidates should have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a highly motivated team environment.
