Our client is seeking a Logistics / Operations Executive (Air Freight) to oversee outbound shipment operations and ensure seamless cargo movement through airports. The role requires close coordination with airlines, transporters, and airport handling teams to maintain efficiency, optimize costs, and deliver accurate operational reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Send pre-alerts to destination countries for all outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with airport handling teams to track and monitor cargo movement.
- Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, and transporters to confirm bookings and schedules.
- Maintain effective communication with service providers including airlines, transporters, and warehouse operators.
- Negotiate with transporters and warehouse providers to optimize costs while maintaining service quality.
- Prepare daily and weekly shipment status reports.
- Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, data accuracy, and service quality.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
Requirements
- Understanding of international shipping terms (Incoterms).
- Familiarity with airline cargo procedures and airport operations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
