The Operations Executive is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across the Company's manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, logistics, procurement, and distribution functions. The role ensures efficient utilization of resources, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and timely delivery of quality products while supporting the Company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Strategy and Planning
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the Company's strategic plan.
• Prepare annual operational plans, budgets, and departmental objectives.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Lead operational improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
2. Production Oversight
• Oversee production planning to ensure customer demand is met.
• Ensure efficient utilization of labour, machinery, and raw materials.
• Monitor production performance, downtime, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to improve manufacturing efficiency.
3. Supply Chain and Procurement Management
• Oversee procurement planning to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Maintain effective supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
• Monitor procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
4. Warehouse and Inventory Management
• Ensure accurate inventory control and stock accountability.
• Oversee periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Minimize inventory losses, expiries, and stock variances.
• Ensure optimum stock levels to support business operations.
5. Logistics and Distribution
• Ensure efficient distribution of finished goods to customers and distributors.
• Monitor delivery performance and customer service standards.
• Optimize transport utilization and distribution costs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation and safety requirements.
6. Financial and Cost Management
• Prepare and manage the operations budget.
• Monitor operational expenditure against approved budgets.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs without compromising quality.
• Support profitability through operational efficiency initiatives.
7. Quality, Food Safety, and Compliance
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote adherence to Company policies, SOPs, and industry standards.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
8. Leadership and People Management
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to the operations team.
• Set departmental KPIs and monitor employee performance.
• Identify training and development needs within the operations function.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
9. Risk Management
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure business continuity plans are maintained and regularly reviewed.
• Monitor operational incidents and ensure timely corrective action.
10. Reporting and Performance Monitoring
• Prepare monthly and quarterly operational performance reports.
• Present operational updates and recommendations to the CEO and Executive Management.
• Analyze KPIs and implement action plans to improve operational performance.
