Job Purpose:
Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.Job Responsibilities:
● Process deliveries through pick confirming, manifesting and ship confirming.● Compiles shipping/receiving reports for division use.
● Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system.
● Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
● Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
● Assist with locator updates.
● Maintains files of delivery tickets, POD’s and OP Receivers.
● Helps with disposition of product.
● Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
● Ability to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
● Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
● Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.
● Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
● Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
● Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
● Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
● Ability to use 10-key calculator, PC, photocopies, telephone and facsimile machine
Salary: $53,000
Work Experience:
● 0-1 years of related job experience.● Warehouse experience required preferably working in a distribution environment.Education:
● High School Diploma/GED PreferredWarehouse
