Job Summary
The Operations/ Administrative Assistant provides support to managers and employees, assists in daily office needs, and manages the company's general administrative activities. Is responsible for assisting the plant with efficiency improvement, C.I, Safety, and special projects with challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to leaders to enable day-to-day operations for their teams and initiatives
- Partner with the Team to build efficiencies within the team and improve alignment and communication
- Assist with project coordination within the team
- Coordinate the activities of the site Lean initiative while working with the Continuous Improvement Team on some or all of the stated duties
- Evaluate operations to identify areas of waste and opportunities for improvement
- Teach, coach, and mentor all levels of employees in Continuous Improvement and manufacturing principles
- Train employees to identify and eliminate waste
- Develop programs to foster employee involvement to promote a Continuous Improvement culture
- Prepares regular and special reports as required
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate.
- Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications excel, word, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of 5s, Kanban, standardized workflow, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and visual environment/factory
- Working Knowledge of various office equipment
- Spanish is a Plus
