  • Develop compelling, story-driven presentations and reports that deliver clear strategic insights.
  • Synthesize and contextualize multiple, and sometimes conflicting, data points to create actionable insights.
  • Engage directly with executive leadership to deliver findings and recommendations.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives that advance FMI’s point of view within the industry.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the operations, strategies, and best practices of companies serving the built environment (e.g., construction, building, and infrastructure services).
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, economics, or finance preferred; MBA or equivalent master’s degree from a top-tier accredited institution strongly preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in the built environment or consulting to firms within the industry. Prior experience in field service operations or project management in construction/infrastructure is preferred. Experience in strategy consulting, M&A consulting, private equity, investment banking, or other M&A-related disciplines will also be considered.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with proven experience leading teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and a demonstrated track record of professional accomplishment.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to support, mentor, and guide early-tenure professionals.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, listening, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
