Job Purpose
The Operations Associate I processes standard client and producer transactions and ensures all information is in "good order" for processing.
Essential ResponsibilitiesProcesses standard transactions using documented procedures and multiple software applications. Identifies and escalates issues for resolution when necessary. Communicates with internal associates and external customers or agents regarding outstanding requirements. Documents status of transactions and contacts received and initiated. Answers inbound calls from internal or external customers and/or makes outbound calls to customers.
Other DutiesMust meet departmental production and quality standards related to product or level. (i.e. case/transaction handling time, effective date adjustment transactions, adherence to documentation/verification standards, customer communication standards, etc.)Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to learn and understand basic life and annuity product information. Basic understanding of financial implications arising from processing errors. Ability to read and carry out detailed written procedures. Good verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with coworkers, management and external customers. Ability to communicate company processing requirements and procedures. Ability to navigate and utilize multiple software and mainframe computer applications. Ability to type 35 words per minute. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to effectively manage the demands of a high volume, imaged based work environment.
Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.). required.
  • 1+ years work experience required.

  • Hourly pay rate of $20.60
  • Promotional consideration (twice annually)
