Operations Assistant

We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) in-office candidate. Remote option is not available

We have been doing this since 2013, and we have stayed strong and steady through every season. Pediatric therapy never stops changing. We have met each shift head on, kept our footing, and kept growing, adding new tools and building out specialty paths along the way. Because a therapist owns this company and not an outside investment firm, that growth gets chosen on purpose. That steadiness is part of why our team members stay 5, 8, and 10 years and still find room to grow.

“Marshall Pediatric Therapy is an incredible place to work and I plan to be here for many many years. The management and onboarding from day one is positive, uplifting, and geared for your benefit. I firmly believe that everyone in this company wants to see me succeed.” — Physical Therapist, Lexington

We are family-owned, built on a belief that you cannot care for a child without caring for the whole family around them. It takes a village, and for more than 2,000 families across Central Kentucky, Marshall has become part of that village. Pam Marshall, OTR/L, founded the practice and owns and runs it with her husband, Jim. We work by five values, love, excellence, happiness, family, and courage, and you feel them in how we treat each other and our families.

Helping children grow takes every person on our team. Our therapists provide the care, and our admin team makes sure our families and clinics have what they need for that care to happen. As our Operations Assistant, you will be at the center of that work, supporting our team members, managers, and directors across four clinics and our admin office alongside our Operations Director. From recruiting and onboarding to benefits, leave, and clinic operations, no two days look the same.

A look at the benefits, most of them 100% employer-paid for full-time staff:

  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, life, and direct primary care with no copays
  • Up to 184 hours of PTO and holiday pay a year, growing with tenure, including a full week off at Christmas
  • No weekends or holidays
  • 401(k) and Roth with up to a 4% company match and annual merit raises
  • Up to 40 paid hours a year to serve on a volunteer Mission trip
  • EKU tuition discount through the EKU Advantage Program
  • The best coworkers ever!

You’re a good fit if:

  • You have 2 years of experience in an HR role, or a strong foundation in HR administration and a desire to grow in it
  • You have worked in an applicant tracking system, and experience with Paycom is a plus
  • You enjoy the full range of HR work, including benefits enrollment, leave management (FMLA, short-term disability, and leaves of absence), onboarding, orientation, and offboarding
  • You like recruiting, from writing and updating job ads to screening resumes, interviewing, checking references, preparing offers, and attending job fairs
  • You keep employee records and job descriptions in order, and you can be trusted with confidential information and sensitive conversations
  • You are a resource for team members and managers, answering HR questions and helping our handbook policies be understood and applied consistently
  • You are a clear and effective verbal and written communicator, comfortable with any audience
  • You enjoy the operations side of the role, taking ownership of the details that keep our clinics and admin office running efficiently
  • You are organized, detail-minded, and self-directed
  • You are comfortable with technology and different platforms (such as Google Workspace, Mac products, Zoom, RingCentral, and AI tools), and open to learning new tools as we grow
  • You have a stable work history and excellent attendance
  • You bring a positive, dependable presence to your work, and you enjoy helping others succeed

We hire intentionally, because fit matters more than filling a seat. For candidates moving forward, the process includes a job shadow, time in the office to meet the team, ask questions, and get to know Marshall.
