We are seeking a motivated summer 2025 intern who desires to grow their knowledge of workers’ compensation practices and processes from multiple perspectives through a rotational internship experience. You will work closely with the enterprise risk management, underwriting, safety services, premium audit and claims teams as part of an intern cohort to learn about their operations and how they play a role in living our mission.
Working in partnership with these teams, you will advance your knowledge of business processes and drive improvements within an agile organization. Specifically, you will support daily operations and assist in conducting research and gathering data, while learning how to analyze the data to make business recommendations. As part of your internship experience, you will apply your learning to a capstone project.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
During this internship, you can expect to:

Build a foundational understanding of workers’ compensation insurance through a rotational internship experience. You will work closely with teams such as enterprise risk management, underwriting, safety, premium audit and claims to learn about their operations and to solve business problems.

Support underwriting and claims operations through evaluation, analysis, problem solving and recommending solutions for a current business opportunity; present findings and implementation plan to senior leaders at the end of your internship

Research emerging and current risks and analyze potential impacts to business operations.

Gain an understanding of holistic risk management that integrates vendor risk management, business continuity planning and risk assessments.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide safety services, including onsite experience with policyholders

Work in a collaborative cohort with other interns
It’s required that you:

Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree as an incoming Junior or Senior

Show proficiency in Microsoft Office products
It would be great if you:

Have previous work experience of greater than three months and/or experience with student organizations, or similar

Duration: 10 weeks; June 2 – August 8, 2025

Location: Austin, TX; in-person; potential for limited remote work
