We're looking for an analytical, detail-oriented team player who can identify risks, uphold regulatory compliance, and contribute to the success of our small, dynamic, and international team. This risk-focused role offers growth opportunities and exposure to various stakeholders, including business leaders, compliance, and second- and third-line defense teams.
Our Operational Risk Management team ensures ISS STOXX Operations align with Deutsche Börse Group Policies, BMR, IOSCO, and other regulatory standards. We prioritize quality, transparency, and client focus in everything we do.
You will primarily participate in the maintenance and review of the Operations Internal Control System within the ISS STOXX risk management program, update of the process map, risk identification and assessment. Additionally, you will provide support to senior team members on preparing reports for the leadership and support projects according to the yearly plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the risk representatives and provide consultancy to the designated business functions for ICS implementation and other risk / compliance related initiatives

Support regular maintenance, review, and update of the ICS framework, process maps creation and update, risk identification and assessment, and control documentation- in close collaboration with the second line of defense and business functions.

Coordinate and execute Design and Operating Effectiveness controls testing for the Operations area

Review and classify incidents, track resolution and closure, support post-incident review when required, prepare internal / external regular reporting

Monitor third party data providers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations
Set up and track KPIs for internal and outsourced activities

Liaise with auditors (internal/external), provide support during audit, and ensure mitigation actions are implemented

Any ad hoc responsibilities as and when required
QUALIFICATIONS

At least a Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or Business Administration
-
Proven 2-3 years’ experience and track record within financial industry, preferably with focus on compliance

Strong analytical and conceptual skills and know-how in financial information and financial markets, including understanding of compliance / regulatory frameworks

Ability to handle multiple tasks time-efficient and (semi)autonomously in parallel and work on tight deadlines

Diligent in following processes and procedures

Fluency in English both oral and written

Ability to comfortably interface with all levels of management and staff

Strong organizational skills, capability to prioritize and follow established guideline
