Within this construct, we are now seeking to hire a leader to oversee Stoxx operations Risk activities (first line) while reinforcing our client-centric and quality-focused culture. While being a predominantly Risk Focused role, the position also offers significant opportunities to display leadership in Operating model, Technology and organizational design change initiatives. You will also lead the Operational Risk Management team within STOXX Operations.
Your Specific Objectives will include

Collaborate with teams managing BAU activities for design and implementation of new controls to address key risk areas and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Investigate root causes of operational risks and propose strategic plans to prevent, eliminate and mitigate operational risks

Ensure adherence to the Control Framework through detective controls (spot checks, random samples of evidence) and preventative measures (risk mitigation by automation, review of controls to identify redundancies)

Develop strong relationship with key stakeholders and business partners by addressing issues/concerns in timely manner

Support strategic risk initiatives, coordinate audit and regulatory activities including remediation work

Manage and coordinate regular review of Qontigo Index Operational handbook and policies to ensure they are maintained and correctly reflect activities, as well as Qontigo/DAX Governance decisions

Liaise with auditors (internal/external), provide support during audit and ensure mitigation actions are implemented

Review and classify incidents, track resolution and closure, coordinate post-mortems, prepare internal / external reporting

Monitor third party data providers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
What you bring to ISS STOXX
-
10+ years of relevant work experience including strong Risk Management experience (+5 years), preferably in banking, asset management or FinTech domains
-
Experience of working in a regulated environment.

Strong Risk Framework knowledge, including tiered risk ownership, Risk Taxonomy, KRI etc

Previous experience in managing a team

Strong stakeholder / client management skills i.e. ability to liaise and coordinate with senior management i.e. Product, Engineering, Finance, etc.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Ability to connect with diverse audiences, ranging from highly technical partners to business clients

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to think logically to address business problems

Ability to establish credibility and build strong, confident, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners including third parties, at all levels

Track record of delivering successful projects and initiatives in a large, high-profile, and sophisticated global organizations
