The Role
Align and implement MAFACT and MQS initiatives across China/Asia, conduct audits, coach and train groups and plants, maintain MQS standards and dashboards, track quality metrics and program launches, facilitate operational improvement and Kaizen projects, and support program management and trainings.

Job Responsibilities:

Position Overview
-Ensure that China activities are aligned with global MAFACT, Quality and Program initiatives and key priorities.
-MAFACT, Quality and Program related best practices sharing, and implementation status follow up among China groups/divisions.
-Coach and support all the Groups and Plants MAFACT leads and Quality leads.

Job Responsibility
MAFACT and Operational Excellence
•Align the regional MAFACT initiatives with the Magna International initiatives
•Maintain MAFACT information and standards and participate in revision process
•Support groups & divisions in their MAFACT implementation activities, provide operational solutions and tools to groups & divisions.
•Support to Facilitate MAFACT workshops within AP group or other related operational on a regular basis.
•Support regional Group MAFACT leads with assistance in underperforming divisions, as required
•Support MAFACT audits at all Asian Regional Plants combined with coaching and training, in order to close potential gaps
•Support MAFACT best practices and Lessons Learned sharing within regional groups, follow up with implementation status in divisions. 
•Support MAFACT trainings and Seminars for all China team
•Support MAFACT marketing promotion activities, include MAFACT newsletter, MagnaNow etc.
•Support Annual MAFACT Excellence Kaizen Award Selection and recognition
•Support operational improvements projects with respective divisions.

Quality
•Share Global information & strategy to Quality team of Magna Asia at the first time through regular meetings 
•Align the regional Quality initiatives with the Magna International initiatives
•Maintain MQS standards and participate in revision process
•Support groups & divisions in their MQS implementation activities, provide operational solutions and tools to groups & divisions.
•Facilitating Quality workshops within AP group or other related operational on a regular basis.
•Support regional Group Quality leads with assistance in underperforming divisions, as required
•Perform MQS audits at all Asian Regional Plants combined with coaching and training, in order to close potential gaps
•Reinforce and lead quality best practices and Lessons Learned sharing within regional groups, follow up with implementation status in divisions. 
•MQS Dashboard maintenance and tracking, propose follow up activities, such as data analysis, improvement advice etc. 
•Monthly tracking for Quality performance such as CoQ (Cost of Quality) reduction, quality incidents, warranty cost to assure data accuracy and conduct data analysis and read across for potential kaizens
•Support China Quality team for MQS certification/calibration and status tracking
•Regularly review the MQS standards in the plants, on the shop floor with the subgroup and divisional Quality experts
•Support divisional customer complaints problem solving and improve divisional problem-solving skills through the process, tools, methodology, 
•Assist and ensure that Quality Reporting and Cost of Quality is being focused.

Program
•Facilitating program management workshops with China team 
•High focus program launches tracking 
•Facilitating Financial Program Seminar and Training
•Lead Annual program management Award Selection and recognition
•Assist PDP implementation 

Activities and Events
•Support Customer Oriented Operation Workshops
•China Operation Status monitoring
•Support lean logistic focus activities

Others
•Perform other duties as required
•Reasonably judge, identify, and properly handle all the personal information involved in work, and to learn and master the relevant policies and procedures for Magna's data privacy and personal information management. If necessary, need to sign a relevant "commitment letters" of personal information protection in the future.

Qualifications: 
Knowledge and Education
-Preferable majoring in Technical, Engineering related.
-Education: Bachelor and above
Experience
-4+ years ‘work experience in Operation improvement, lean manufacturing, and Quality

Skills and Competencies
-Professional knowledge and skills on lean manufacturing, operation improvement and quality
-Be able to conduct MAFACT and MQS Audit 

General Competence
-Strong time management and problem-solving skills
-Strong communication, written, and presentation skills
-A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in order to meet tight deadlines

IT/Language
-Excellent communication skill in both Chinese and English.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical/Engineering field or above
  • 4+ years' experience in operational improvement, lean manufacturing, and quality
  • Professional knowledge and skills in lean manufacturing, operational improvement, and quality management

  • MQS dashboard maintenance, data analysis, and tracking quality metrics (CoQ, incidents, warranty)
