As an Operational Compliance Specialist EMEA, you will support operational compliance processes across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. You will help ensure that growers, processes, and documentation comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and relevant legislation.
You will work closely with regional compliance teams, operations, quality teams, and growers within an international environment. Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting operational compliance activities across the EMEA region. You will help ensure that documentation, audits, and compliance processes are accurate, up to date, and aligned with both internal and external requirements.
- Maintain and update the EMEA Compliance Manual
- Collect, review, and manage grower certifications and compliance documentation
- Support grower due diligence processes
- Prepare and support internal and external audits (including IFS Broker and Global G.A.P.)
- Monitor corrective actions and non-conformities
- Track developments in relevant legislation related to food safety, MRLs, and labeling requirements
- Support risk assessments and compliance reporting
- Collaborate closely with regional compliance and operations teams
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a proactive and organized professional who enjoys working in an international environment and has a strong interest in food safety, quality systems, and compliance within fresh produce or FMCG.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Food, Agriculture, Food Technology, HAS, or a related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in compliance, QA, or food safety
- Experience within fresh produce, fruit & vegetables, or FMCG is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety systems and quality standards
- HACCP knowledge/certification
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Proactive and collaborative mindset
