Job Summary
The Finance department of ConocoPhillips in Norway has ~65 motivated and competent employees looking forward to getting a new colleague. We cover a broad area ranging from Accounting, Controlling, Financial Reporting, Tax, Business Analysis, Strategy & Portfolio Analysis, Treasury Services and Economics & Decision Support.The Norway organization supports ConocoPhillips’ business in Europe and North Africa. We have an internal job market and focus on career development. We are integrated with the global Finance organization and interact a lot with our Headquarter in Houston, USA.
Position Overview
ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly project cost reports, distribute to and follow up with project and internal management
Coordination and administration of authorization of expenditure (AFE) for projects in Norway, including both operated projects and projects related to partner operated licenses
Perform a broad range of accounting and financial administration activities, including journal entries, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, invoicing, project-related accounting, and support for general finance processes including month- and quarter-end closing.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate, preferably with a master’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance or similar with 0-2 years of experience, ideally in the energy industry, or Graduate candidates showing strong academic results.
We will also evaluate candidates with a Bachelor's degree, strong academic results and industry-related experience.
