We seek an Operation supervisor (Electrical) to lead and oversee on-site power and energy solutions operations, ensuring equipment reliability, performance, safety, and customer satisfaction—aligned with Aggreko standards and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations Supervision: Coordinate the Production Team, manage SCADA load control systems, HV & EHV specialist and align output with client energy demand.
- QHSE Compliance: Enforce safety protocols—LOTO, ESR, tool calibration, lifting operations, spill management, PPE usage.
- Performance & Maintenance Oversight: Monitor alarms, conduct first-line performance assessments, and trigger maintenance actions (e.g., oil analysis).
- Operational Optimization: Optimize asset availability, condition, manpower deployment, and inventory management.
- Data & Housekeeping: Maintain accurate production logs and implement 5S/OPOS standards to ensure organized, compliant site conditions.
- Training & Development: Onboard, mentor, and upskill team members to maintain a capable and compliant workforce.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients and Managers to communicate performance, pre-empt availability issues, and ensure service expectations are met.
Required background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
- High and Low Voltage authorization (e.g., B2V, H2V) mandatory.
- At least 5 year experience with power generation equipment in electrical operations or industrial maintenance. And experience working in off-grid or hybrid power installations common in remote Congolese sites. This includes familiarity with DRC mining.
- Substantial hands on proficiency in preventive and corrective maintenance, major engine servicing, SCADA systems & EHV servicing & maintenance, engine controllers- Cummins; able to use and calibrate specialized tools.
- Willing and able to work in confined spaces, and adaptable to remote site conditions & travel.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and SCADA/PLC systems & Cummins engine with HV & EHV expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in multicultural settings.
- Understanding of local safety regulations, environmental protocols, and cultural context.
- Advanced level of English and French, and ideally also local language(s).
