Objectives
Complete assemblies in assigned work center.
Responsibilities
Assemble according to specifications.
Master basic skills and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and / or equipment in area of expertise.
Assist others during assembly of components in area of expertise.
Teach other Assemblers proper techniques and procedures for mastered key subassemblies
Complete required assembly documentation, check sheets, ECRs, MRRs and material movement paperwork
Resolve routine questions and problems in mastered subassemblies. Refers more complex issues to Group Team Leads
Use material handling equipment to move parts, components, and subassemblies from one work or storage area to another as required
Perform all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area
Assist more experienced Assemblers as assigned
•May be asked to perform team support roles to assist Supervisor
Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience is helpful
Typically has 6 months mechanical experience with the possibility of gaining through on the job training
Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
