🧑🏫 About the Role
Join us as a part-time tutor and play a vital role in helping students build skills and confidence. This is a remote, flexible opportunity to earn supplemental income while positively impacting student learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ U.S.-based tutors with consistent availability during weekdays
✔️ Experience supporting K–12 learners in reading, math, or both
✔️ Passion for empowering students and improving academic achievement
✔️ Willingness to undergo a background check and fingerprinting (covered by Littera)
💼 Role Details & Benefits
• Remote Work: 100% virtual tutoring in the United States
• Flexible Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST (no weekends)
• Subjects: Reading, Math, ELL – you choose!
• Compensation:
• Tutors earn $22.50 per hour for English/ELL/Reading and Math sessions. $18 (base pay) X 1.25 (paid administrative time per hour)= $22.50 per tutored hour. This is a W-2 supplemental opportunity that pays bi-weekly!
• $18/hour for trainings
• Schedule: Up to 25 hours/week based on availability and student demand
• Curriculum Provided: No lesson planning required
• Small Group Sessions: 1:1 to 1:3 student ratios
• Paid Training, Background Check & Fingerprinting
• Supportive Environment: Ongoing coaching and dedicated manager

• A consistent weekly schedule
• A quiet, distraction-free space for tutoring
• A desktop or laptop with Chrome, high-speed internet, and a headset
• Comfort using virtual tools and online learning platforms

What We Do
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted and exacerbated the longstanding and systemic disparities in educational opportunities for kids along racial and socioeconomic lines. We started Littera to enable equitable, high-quality, and cost-effect academic support for schools and districts of all sizes. We support the delivery of individual and small group tutoring sessions and make implementation easy by leveraging the curriculum and technology districts already use. Tutoring services exist, and Littera is not a traditional tutoring service. We built our platform to design programs and deliver services that make sense to each district and their students' specific learning needs.
