The ideal candidate is a highly skilled writer and editor with strong political instincts who closely follows legislative developments, elections, cultural debates, and media trends. This individual should be capable of advising on messaging strategy, identifying emerging opportunities and risks, and translating complex political issues into compelling communications for media, supporters, policymakers, and the public.

  • Monitor state and federal legislative activity, elections, policy developments, and breaking news.

  • Work closely with Students for Life Action to communicate political initiatives, legislative efforts, and advocacy campaigns.

  • Participate in strategic communications planning and help shape organizational messaging.

  • Provide research, analysis, and communications recommendations on emerging issues.

  • Serve as a strategic writing and editing resource for Students for Life Action, producing and refining a wide range of political, policy, advocacy, and organizational communications beyond traditional media products.
