Position Overview

In support of the company mission, the Course Developer is responsible for creating high-quality, engaging eLearning courses using eLearning authoring tools. 


What You'll Do

  • Influences design and handles the development of curriculum using multiple asynchronous training modalities 
  • Align learning objectives with learning content and assessments
  • Serve as a resource and expert for graphic design and multimedia. Develop ideas and concepts to translate topics into engaging and accessible online content through UI interfaces, graphics, illustrations, and animations for eLearning courseware
  • Select and revise appropriate audio-visual media for use in eLearning
  • Create and integrate engaging, appropriate activities into eLearning
  • Develop modules/courses using rapid authoring tools
  • Ensures seamless integration of e-learning technology with instructor led training and other modalities to create an effective learning environment.
  • Explore and incorporate AI-driven solutions to enhance the overall effectiveness of eLearning courses.
  • Integrate NLP capabilities when needed to develop interactive and conversational elements within eLearning modules.
  • Explore AI-driven enhancements for graphics, illustrations, and animations to create dynamic and impactful eLearning experiences.
  • Maintains ongoing knowledge of learning best practices, technologies, and techniques.
  • Perform quality analysis self-checks and peer reviews.
  • Manage time to accomplish tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Learning Design, Learning Development, Adult Learning, etc. from a four-year college or university or two-years’ experience and/or training or equivalent combination or education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written oral instructions 
  • Experience with design software and/or eLearning rapid authoring tools
  • Office productivity software knowledge
  • SCORM/AICC/xAPI experience a plus but not required 

  • Key Factors:

  • Supervision - This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
  • External/Internal Customers - This position may require contact with clients, vendors, online users, and internal Colibri stakeholders.
  • Confidentiality - There is access in this position to confidential company information. 
  • Travel - The position requires minimal travel.
