OneSource & SAP Tax IT Analyst

The OneSource & SAP Tax IT Analyst is a hands-on role within Renesas’ Enterprise Applications organization, supporting OneSource and SAP S/4HANA implementation and post go-live support for global tax processes. The role focuses on the functional support of OneSource as the primary tax engine integrated with SAP S/4HANA.

This position requires strong ownership, structured problem solving, and the ability to work independently after appropriate training and ramp-up. The candidate will collaborate with tax business users, FI SAP Analysts, project teams, and cross-functional IT stakeholders to deliver stable, efficient, and sustainable tax technology solutions. This role also provides exposure to global business processes and the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation project.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Support SAP S/4HANA implementation and post go-live operations for global tax processes, with OneSource as the primary tax engine solution.
• Configure, maintain, and support OneSource, including tax rules, tax determination, mapping, master data support, and tax calculation validation.
• Analyze and resolve tax-related incidents, interface issues, and SAP S/4HANA–OneSource integration issues.
• Translate tax and finance business requirements into practical SAP S/4HANA and OneSource solutions, including change requests and enhancements.
• Support testing, documentation, deployment readiness, user training, and post-deployment stabilization.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external support partners to ensure tax-related deliverables are completed with quality and consistency.

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance, SAP S/4HANA, or tax solution implementation and support.
• Experience supporting tax processes through OneSource or similar SAP-integrated tax engine solutions. Candidates lacking OneSource experience are expected to ramp up quickly and achieve independence within a short period.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills in English, with the ability to facilitate sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on role, including independent analysis, configuration support, incident resolution, testing, documentation, and stakeholder follow-up after ramp-up.
• Required to obtain the OneSource Professional Certification during the probation period.

Good-to-Have Requirements:

• Understanding SAP SD/MM sales and purchase processes and their integration with tax determination or external tax engine solutions.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, post go-live support, global tax determination, or tax compliance tools.
• Knowledge of SAP FI integration, VAT/GST/sales tax processes, indirect tax determination, or global tax compliance requirements.
