Woodside, part of Anderson Global, is seeking an Onboarding
Analyst to join its Client Services team.
The Onboarding Analyst is a key member of the Client
Services team, reporting to the Onboarding Manager. The role predominantly
involves performing Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
checks on prospective clients during the onboarding process, as well as
conducting ongoing reviews of existing clients and maintaining accurate
records.
The Onboarding Analyst acts as the First Line of Defence
(1LOD) against money laundering and other financial crime. The successful
candidate will develop a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and
associated guidance, applying best practice within the financial services
industry.
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate high
ethical standards and work diligently to fulfil their responsibilities.
Principal Responsibilities
- Liaise
with prospective clients and third parties to obtain relevant KYC
information and carry out due diligence checks and verification of the
information provided.
- Conduct
individual and corporate identity verification checks, undertaking further
investigation where necessary.
- Undertake
and analyse electronic screening relating to Politically Exposed Persons
(PEPs), sanctions, and other high-risk factors, investigating potential
matches and escalating cases to the Onboarding Manager and/or MLRO where
appropriate.
- Review
day to day screening alerts in a timely manner, applying a risk-based
approach to distinguish between false positives and potential red flags.
- Complete
Customer Risk Assessments and maintain accurate records.
- Assist
with the initial review of client documentation, including Information
Memorandums, Application Forms, and other financial promotions.
- Liaise
with the Investment Operations and Fund Services teams to provide
onboarding status updates and obtain additional information where required
to complete the onboarding process.
- Contribute
to the development and maintenance of robust compliance controls across
the Firm.
- Assist
in developing and updating onboarding procedures, while participating in
projects involving system enhancements and continuous improvement
initiatives.
- Assist
in gathering internal data and statistics, producing periodic management
information reports and responding to regulatory requests.
- Maintain
up-to-date knowledge of anti-money laundering requirements and other
relevant laws and regulations through personal study, internal and
external training, and attendance at relevant seminars.
- Maintain
knowledge of the Firm's systems and controls for the prevention of
financial crime and regulatory compliance.
- Provide
support on ad hoc compliance and Client Services projects as required.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A
graduate degree.
- A
relevant compliance qualification (desirable).
- 1–2
years' professional experience in anti-money laundering (AML), financial
crime, or KYC compliance within an FCA-regulated firm.
- Familiarity
with corporate registries and regulatory portals, including Companies
House, the FCA website, and standard FCA regulatory tools.
- A
practical understanding of the FCA Handbook as it applies to the company's
business operations.
- Experience
using compliance tools such as LexisNexis, SmartSearch, World-Check, CRM
systems, or similar name-screening platforms.
- Strong
analytical skills with the ability to interpret and assess regulatory and
client information.
- A
sound understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, including FCA
requirements, the Money Laundering Regulations, and international
sanctions regimes (OFAC, UN, EU, and HMT).

Skills Required
