Job Description:
A vacancy for an open position inside the Industrial Composite Technology Innovation and development team for Central Manufacturing Engineering has arisen within Airbus Operation in Illescas factory. The main objective of the team is to mature new technologies in R&T and to disseminate mature technologies in order to improve legacy & future programs.
AccountabilitiesThe jobholder is responsible for the development and maturation of Non Destructive Testing technologies for composite & metal up to industrial maturity demonstration at full scale and the following dissemination of these technologies.
The Jobholder is accountable and responsible for:
Lead composite technology developments
Lead &/or contribute to projects to industrialize and mature technologies
Support Technology scouting initiatives aligned with the Roadmap
Protecting IP ownership
Mission & Responsibilities
Lead technology development for composite including automation and link to process monitoring for predictive quality control.
Contribute to Industrial Strategy for composite Technology for short, mid and long-term term (R&T)
Support the dissemination of technology across the plants.
Define & Perform physical trials.
Collaborate with partners such as Technological centers or suppliers for new developments.
Lead projects for Industrialization of technologies
Manage risks inside the R&T and dissemination projects.
As the successful candidate, you are able to demonstrate the following skills, competences and experiences:
Educational Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
Master Degree in Engineering
Fundamental knowledge on Composite
Project Management experience (local and transnational)
Experienced industrializing projects related to composite manufacturing
Non Destructive Testing Knowledge
UT Certification will be a plus (level 2 or 3)
Able to define Design for Manufacture requirements & challenge State of the Art designs
Automation & Robotics Knowledge would be plus
Artificial intelligence & data analytics basic skills would be appreciated
Awareness of Composites Assembly processes & technologies would be appreciated
Knowledge of Composite Quality requirements, including manufacturing Specifications, Processes & Standards
Negotiation level in English
Soft skills
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
Demonstrate a strong vision of what the future industrial system should look like
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary and transnational environment, understanding of the Airbus context
Creative, open mindset, willingness to explore and learn
Team player
Problem solving skills
This role will involve business travels to different plants and suppliers so you must be able to travel accordingly.
